Virginia Beach

Va Beach March 27th 2008. Doug and I, our boys along with Jason, Erica, Halle Cohen, and Isaiah spent the afternoon at the beach. It was a windy and about 82 degrees. The kids had a blast...the adults did too. After doing a little shopping on the strip we sat in the sun and the kids played in the sand and the water too! Cocoa had so much fun that while running to jump in the water, he fell on his face, and got a bloody nose. Eir was worried ,wondering if it were broken. He kept kicking and screaming acting like he wanted to get down. When she put him down he took off running for the water...bloody nose and all. Let's face it, all of our kids got the TACIA swimming/love of water gene. We have no brown eyed, brown hair beauties ,but they have the love of the beach! I know that makes Papa proud. Thank you daddy! Jason bought tanning oil and it was left in the car, he actually walked back to get it. He is a sun God! It was a wonderful day. The beach is so beautiful! Thank you Doug my love who again took all the pictures.

How Great Is Our God!

How Great Is Our God!

We just got back from Virginia Beach, and we had a wonderful time. Being able to be with everyone was a blast! I want to do a day by day of the trip, but I will start that tomorrow. On the way home as we were driving, I started thinking about my blog and the song I would choose to be the first one to play, to sum up our trip. This trip was just awesome! I sit here and just think how much fun we all had , even my boys with upper respiratory infections. This was exactly what we needed and there were no disappointments. Immediately, how great is our God came to mind. I can hear Mag and Jord singing it in my ear. Today just confirms how great our God is. Harrison was diagnosed yesterday with RSV, and this morning he is not feeling so well. Normally I would be crying for about a week missing everyone, but God filled my day yesterday with doctor appointments, and caring for a sick baby. He knows what we all need and I am thankful for his faithfulness. Thankful for my friends and neighbors here who would do anything for us. So instead of being anxiety ridden and sad I am thankful for the grace of God and how great it is. Although I miss you all, I know we will see each other soon. I am putting a few of the wedding pictures on for Aunt Jane and Aunt Theresa, because I know they wanted to be there. Love you!

Monster Jam...Thunder Nationals

This past weekend Doug, Blase and I went to Grand Rapids for the weekend. We stayed at the Courtyard Downtown thanks to Doug's cousin Nate, who totally hooked us up! We had tickets to Monster Jam Thunder Nationals and it was a lot of fun. Doug's cousin Dean and His wife Sarah met us there with their 4 children. We went swimming, to the mall, to a pit party to see all the monster trucks and meet the drivers. It was neat. My computer keeps freezing up and then I have to start over so that is why there are so many pictures......I have to get while the gettin's good. Blase loved swimming and Doug kept throwing him. One of the pictures looked like he was walking on water! At the end of Monster Jam, Tom Ments the driver of Maximum Destruction came up in the stands and was shaking every ones hands....Blase missed this part because he had fallen asleep during the donut competition. I was just thrilled to see the dude we see on t.v. all the time 2 feet in front of me. The highlight of course for Blase was Grave Digger and when we come to Va Beach we get to see Dennis Anderson's home...which will be so cool. Dennis Anderson is the driver of Grave Digger..nice name huh? His house is in Kill Devil Hills. This weekend made me realize I can kiss frilly vacations goodbye at least for 18 years anyway and enjoy the excitement of dirt bikes, sports and monster trucks! We had the best time and look forward to doing it again. Thank you Momma for watching Harrison and taking such good care of him. Thank you Pa Pa Jon for being so wonderful..we love you both so much. Now I am in the midst of laundry, motherhood and getting ready for a much needed trip home! I love you all and cannot wait to be with you.

Good Morning Everyone! I love morning...early morning, a hot cup of coffee, my quiet time, and just how thankful I am to have another day of life. I love the sweetness of my husband and boys awakening and tip toeing down the stairs. I love how we are gifted the freshness of a new day. A day with a clean slate. I love snuggling with my boys and watching Blase tell Harrison ,"Good morning budddddd, are you ready to have some fun with big brother today?" For me morning is a time of hope, it feels as if no matter what the day may bring the peace and the quiet of morning, along with God's grace, prepare me for the day. Thank you God for being able to be refreshed! We are trying to eat healthier in our home and it is going great. With the conveniences of fast food and boxed food...don't get me wrong I am not against it .....we just eat too much. We are eating more veggies and fresh fruit, although at this time of year the produce isn't all that great. We are cutting back on our meat and getting used to Boca Burgers which I love! I am hoping this new life style change...not a diet will help to get off those extra pounds I am carrying. I think Doug and I are going to start walking together, and today I am walking at Blase's school for an hour. Some mom's started a walking group in the gym M-F so that will be fun to do. Here are some pictures from our morning......what does your morning look like?

Here are pictures from our trip with the Cooks to the Great Wolf Lodge. Thank you to Doug who took the pictures because if it were not for you we would have none. Thank you for snapping in the water park because Harrison looks so cute. We had a blast...and can't wait to go back. Enjoy the pictures. Love to you all.
