Friday Favorites...from our week!

Yesterday we had a beautiful day...23 degrees in the morning, but it did warm up to about 50. My boys did not seem bothered at all by the brisk chill in the air. Our neighbors have a huge leaf pile that Blase lives to play in. As we were getting ready to go jump in the leaves, I noticed Blase's shoes, and here's what happened.
Me..."Blase, why are you going out to play in the leaves with your good dress shoes?"
Blase....."Mom, it's because I'm dressed!"
He answered me like duh mom, dress shoes when your dressed..you should know that. Needless to say I laughed, but it doesn't seem quite as funny today. We changed his shoes and made our way to the leaf pile for some autumn fun.
Blase went to bed thanking God for making the leaves, and woke up this morning still talking about them. After seeing the weather report calling for rain all weekend, he asked if I think the neighbors will remember to tarp the leaf pile? He is so funny.
The pictures below are from Blase taking a hot soak in the tub. Doug gave him the shower cap, so when I went up to check on him I thought too cute. This has been a difficult week for our family, but we are thankful for our relationships with God and just how faithful he is. We are thankful for our health, our boys, and just being able to find joy in our trials....Thank you God! Have a blessed weekend.

Harrison and his "Pumpcock"

Harrison is loving the fall season. He has quite the vocabulary too! He loves the leaves, taking evening walks...not in the stroller of course, and he loves the decorations. He is constantly touching the ghost in our yard and saying Booo! I have 3 fiberoptic pumpkins that he loves to watch change color. A couple of days ago when he woke up in the morning and saw one of the pumpkins he said,"Pumpcock!" Well we just got our pumpkins, and he is in love. We carved Blase's, but not Harrison's. He rolls it, sits on it, and just talks to his Pumpcock. I am so enjoying this age and watching Harrison develop a personality with his words! He is also becoming quite cuddly, unlike his brother. Dad, the picture of Blase at the bottom is for you...he wanted you to see him watching Scooby Doo, in his Sooby Doo p.j.s, eating french fries. Love to you all!

Happy 55th Birthday Papa!!!!

Happy Birthday Pa. We hope your day is wonderful, and wish we were there to celebrate with you. We love you and are blessed to call you dad. I am so very thankful for you, and I look forward to our morning chats. Although we miss you terribly, I am thankful to God for where you are. Not only are you a good dad, but the world's most adored Papa. Our children love you, and think you are the best. Thank you for being such a hard worker and faithful father.....I love you, and miss you more than you will know. Sorry the pictures are old, but I have been sick. There is one new one of Harrison in the leaves. P.S. Your package is in the mail.

Elk Country USA

More From Elk Country Usa.....just for care

Elk Country USA!

Here are the pictures I promised. What a fun weekend. I had such a great time at Eir and Jason's. Halle and Cohen are getting so big. My boys, mom and I had a blast in Elk Country Usa! Blase got a whole sack full of candy from the homecoming parade we stumbled upon. The kids played, we ate, laughed and celebrated Cohen's birthday. Blase is still talking about the elks. The place we took pictures was beautiful.

Blase looses his first tooth....teeth!

My baby lost his first two teeth today! The two bottom ones that first shown on the day of his 3 month birthday! Last week, every time we would be driving he would tell me his teeth hurt. When I finally checked the tooth thinking it was a cavity, I realized not one tooth, but two teeth were loose. I figured they would eventually come out, so after a couple days of tugging on them...I gave up. I did make sure that during brush times I would be a little more rough on those. I am scared of blood, guts.....you name it, even my own shadow, but there is nothing sweeter than the sound of a good rocking' tooth and like that thread ripping sound! So this afternoon when I was in the bathroom, he came in with a big smile and one tooth in hand. He was so proud. I told him to let me check the other one...I pulled he moved and there it was, in my hand! Meme came over and he told her,"My friend Halle got a dollar for one tooth, and so now I am going to get two Monies!" The tooth fairy will be visiting us tonight. I am kind of hoping he takes us to dinner and to Moomers too.....to celebrate the occasion! I can't believe how fast time goes by, and I am so blessed to be here with my kids for every moment!
