Monster Jam...Thunder Nationals
This past weekend Doug, Blase and I went to Grand Rapids for the weekend. We stayed at the Courtyard Downtown thanks to Doug's cousin Nate, who totally hooked us up! We had tickets to Monster Jam Thunder Nationals and it was a lot of fun. Doug's cousin Dean and His wife Sarah met us there with their 4 children. We went swimming, to the mall, to a pit party to see all the monster trucks and meet the drivers. It was neat. My computer keeps freezing up and then I have to start over so that is why there are so many pictures......I have to get while the gettin's good. Blase loved swimming and Doug kept throwing him. One of the pictures looked like he was walking on water! At the end of Monster Jam, Tom Ments the driver of Maximum Destruction came up in the stands and was shaking every ones hands....Blase missed this part because he had fallen asleep during the donut competition. I was just thrilled to see the dude we see on t.v. all the time 2 feet in front of me. The highlight of course for Blase was Grave Digger and when we come to Va Beach we get to see Dennis Anderson's home...which will be so cool. Dennis Anderson is the driver of Grave Digger..nice name huh? His house is in Kill Devil Hills. This weekend made me realize I can kiss frilly vacations goodbye at least for 18 years anyway and enjoy the excitement of dirt bikes, sports and monster trucks! We had the best time and look forward to doing it again. Thank you Momma for watching Harrison and taking such good care of him. Thank you Pa Pa Jon for being so wonderful..we love you both so much. Now I am in the midst of laundry, motherhood and getting ready for a much needed trip home! I love you all and cannot wait to be with you.

Good Morning Everyone! I love morning...early morning, a hot cup of coffee, my quiet time, and just how thankful I am to have another day of life. I love the sweetness of my husband and boys awakening and tip toeing down the stairs. I love how we are gifted the freshness of a new day. A day with a clean slate. I love snuggling with my boys and watching Blase tell Harrison ,"Good morning budddddd, are you ready to have some fun with big brother today?" For me morning is a time of hope, it feels as if no matter what the day may bring the peace and the quiet of morning, along with God's grace, prepare me for the day. Thank you God for being able to be refreshed! We are trying to eat healthier in our home and it is going great. With the conveniences of fast food and boxed food...don't get me wrong I am not against it .....we just eat too much. We are eating more veggies and fresh fruit, although at this time of year the produce isn't all that great. We are cutting back on our meat and getting used to Boca Burgers which I love! I am hoping this new life style change...not a diet will help to get off those extra pounds I am carrying. I think Doug and I are going to start walking together, and today I am walking at Blase's school for an hour. Some mom's started a walking group in the gym M-F so that will be fun to do. Here are some pictures from our morning......what does your morning look like?

Happy Birthday Carrie Lundeen!

Happy Birthday Carrie Lundeen! This song is from our roller rink days!!! ENJOY
33 years old today.....How did this happen? Remember when 33 was old? Now we are in the prime of our youth! Well, my back and feet do hurt a lot more and my c-section did definately not heal as fast as my first one, and there's also the weight thing.....just joking.
Our friendship is like one in a book, or movie. Who stays friends there whole lives anymore? I remember seeing you running up and down the block for the first time with Sara N....... I remember telling Lish let's go meet the new girl. I remember you coming over and my mom asking you a million questions, and that I kept calling you Caroline...what was up with that? When asked when is your birthday, and you said,"February 11th 1975." I was ecstatic! And really, you did say the year! I knew from that day we would be best friends for life.
Life at the Robinson's was such a blast! I remember the first time I had dinner at your house, your mom let Jenny make the pizza and then we got to have Spartan, flavored pop with it! I remember thinking she is the luckiest girl in the world. I know you loved to have dinner at my house because we had MILK with pizza...my how things have changed.
A walk down memory lane is appropriate on this blessed day. Remember how cool we thought we were hanging out with Aunt Jenny? She took us to get licorice at Glen's and we got to spend the night at her house. We thought that was so cool. I remember talking about how cute Uncle Joe was, and how much we loved him. I love when our parents bought us the wet banana together and we wanted to put it in our yard, and you wanted it in your yard, I think after about 5 minutes of fighting and you letting Lish and I know you were going home to call the cops helped in ending one of our biggest feuds.
Life on Oak Street was grand, and I love our memories there. I do however have to mention this one...please don't be mad! The was a tree in your back yard, basically the tree looked like this Y, but very fat. Well Carrie went and decided to climb up into the tree, straddle it, and get STUCK! She immediately panicked and sreamed, "GO GET YOUR DAD, HE'S A FIREMAN!" I laugh to tears to this day thinking of that.
I could write a novel of memories, but I want to stop and honor you. You are my dear, sweet best friend. Your love for our Savior is provoking. We have shared much joy, trials, and loss. God has blessed us Care with a friendship that will really be forever! We have eternity. I love how now,we are able to encourage each other in Godliness, being good wives, and raising our children. I enjoy our chats and that I still try and get you to come and spend the night every week! Let's face it now ......some things will never change. I love how the 5 of us girls (Me, you, Jen,Lish and Eir) will always be close like sisters. Our friendship is a treasure and I love you dearly Care. Thank you for being my friend and have a wonderful birhtday! I wish I was there to celebrate with you. Love you lots, CUT lots of cake! hahahahaha
P.S. P Pb PBX Bottle Room! Paper or plastic? Would you like to pull up?
A little memory from our Service Clerk(fancy name for Grocery Bagger) days, our first job TOGETHER at Glen's Market. The memories are many!!!!!

Happy Anniversary Eight Years!

Happy Anniversary Doug. I am so thankful for our marriage and the love we share. It seems as if it were yesterday when we walked down the aisle. My love for you has grown deeper with each passing day and year. Thank you for choosing me! Thank you for leading me and for the love you give. Thank you for being slow to anger and quick to forgive. February 5th, 2000 God blessed me with the most wonderful husband in the world. I was so excited on that day and remember praying with my bridesmaids before the ceremony and just what a peace God gave me. When I walked down the aisle and saw you, I remember just soaking in the smile, and tears on your face. As we held hands during the ceremony and you kept whispering, " I love you," my heart melted. The day was perfect, and when we got Mc Donalds after the reception I knew you were my soul mate! I had to tell everyone that incase you didn't know! Hee Hee! I love how you are sentimental and how we would watch our wedding video on the fifth of each month for the first year! I love that we still watch it on our anniversary every year. I love how I ate most of the top of our wedding cake before our 1 year anniversary....it was GREAT a year later! Our life together has been wonderful and as I sit here crying, laughing, and just enjoying precious, priceless memories, I am thankful to God. He has blessed our marriage and blessed us with two beautiful boys! Thank you for being you and making it so amazing to be your wife. I am encouraged and provoked by you each day. I am in love with you and can't wait to see what the next eight years will hold. Darling husband, thank you for making me your bride, I love you.
